New Hanover Prep First Week Back. The heartbeat of the school is back! It was wonderful to have the children filling the classrooms, corridors and playground with their energy and excitement again. The new year began with a welcome assembly and blessing service in the church. As is tradition, each of the Grade One children received a Zuckertüte (sugar cone) and rang the school bell, signifying the start of their school career at New Hanover Prep.
Other highlights of the first week were the family sport morning and ‘meat and greet’ braai. Embracing family and celebrating community are central to our NHP core values. These events were ideal opportunities for our NHP families to reconnect after the holidays and to create happy memories at the start of the new year.
