Waldemar Swart (8), u/10 Junior Chess player was selected to participate and to represent South Africa at the World Cadet & Youth Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships (WCYRB) 2025 in Rhodes, Greece on 12-18 April 2025. Furthermore, Waldemar qualified and will also participate at the South African Junior Closed Chess Championship where he will represent his District and Province at Nationals on 31 March – 05 April 2025 in the Western Cape, Somerset West.
