Petrus learner of Grey College Primary School competed at the National Regional Level 3 Gala in Bloemfontein from 26–29 March, delivering an outstanding performance.

He swam 13 individual events and medalled in all of them, securing 9 gold medals and 4 silver medals. He also finished as the top boy overall, earning the highest points at the gala.

Gold medals:

• 200m Individual Medley
• 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m Freestyle
• 100m, 200m Backstroke
• 100m Butterfly
• 200m Breaststroke

Silver medals:

• 50m & 100m Breaststroke
• 50m Butterfly
• 50m Backstroke
