Grade 10 learner and proud ambassador of Curro Aurora, Alexia McCabe has successfully competed and qualified at the South African National Swimming Championships from 6 -11 April 2022 in Gqeberha, Port Elizabeth.

Alexia who has been a passionate and dedicated swimmer achieved outstanding results in her age group and now ranks 3rd in the 400m freestyle division. She was privileged enough to warm up next to Olympic swimmer Tatjana Schoeman for her 200m freestyle for which she placed 5th in South Africa overall for her age group. Alexia was also selected to swim the 4 x 200m relay for team Gauteng, and as a team, they finished off 4th overall.
