The School’s Green Team were fortunate enough to visit Cabana Beach Resort in Umhlanga recently, for a site visit to experience some real life examples of how organisations can implement sustainability and safely interact with our environment. The visit included a tour of the borehole and the water purifying plant, water tasting and scoring, a tour of the mini forest, duck and parrot pond, recycling area, indigenous gardens and biodiversity, with discussions on water, energy and environmental work done at the resort. To celebrate Plant A Flower Day, each learner was able to plant a seedling in a recycled glass container to take home, after being treated to lunch onsite.
