The U15 tennis team of Eunice High School played in the annual U15 Prestige Affies tournament in Pretoria. They had some extremely tough competition, but played some of the best tennis by juniors. In the group stage of the tournament, they lost against Afrikaanse Hoër Meisieskool Pretoria (AHMP), Oranje Meisieskool and Nelspruit. In the knockout rounds the score was an 8-5 loss against AHMP B and all the games went to very close tie breakers! They put up a great fight and beat Waterkloof 8-1. Unfortunately, they lost their last match against Voortrekker (Bethlehem) and ended 14th in the tournament.
Liezl Vosloo was awarded for being the learner who displayed the ‘Best sportsmanship in the tournament’. It was a wonderful experience for the Eunice staff and players to see a familiar face.
