We look back on our winter sport season for 2022 and share Durban Girls’ High School first teams.

Netball

It was an exciting Term 2 for the Netball teams who participated in a number of tournaments and Pool A matches. It was refreshing to have our newly refurbished courts busy! Congratulations to Sybriel Munsamy who has been selected to represent the U14A KZN team. We look forward to the Action Netball League in Term 3!

Hockey

What a great Hockey season we had in Term 2! The First Team made it to the Spar Festival Final and lost 1-0 in an exhilarating final against Durban Girls’ College. All the teams played well throughout the season and showed commitment and grit. A big congratulations to the following learners for making the KZN Hockey teams: U14A – Liyanda Memani, U14B – Kathleen Veerasamy, U16B – Gift Arinze, U18A Sanda Mkhwane and U18B – Kalista Pillay.

Drummies

Our Drummies continue to do us proud! After supporting SAPS Berea with a march and display they went on to place first in every category at the competition hosted by the Highway Majorette Club at Gelofte. At this event, six of our Drummies were awarded their South African colours – a wonderful achievement! Congratulations to: Alice Bakah, Siphesihle Memela, Nosihle Nxasana, Brooklyn Linderboom, Saneliswe Daba and Silungile Chiliza.
