During the first week of the term, the Grade 8 pupils participated in a 2 day camp on the school field, hosted by Spirit of Adventure. A discussion was held on what a team is, as well as a discussion on which is better, a team of stars or a star team. Pupils were divided into groups.  The Relationship Tree was discussed.  Pupils worked individually and in a group, reflecting on their individual strengths and weaknesses.

Various team activities were held, including a go-cart to race. Pupils also had to build rafts, using two canoes, wooden poles and rope.  Once the raft had been built, a relay race took place.  Four pupils per team paddled their raft to the other side of the pool. After lunch, the facilitators spoke to the pupils about the importance of team work. Thank you to Spirit of Adventure for a lovely camp.
