St Martin’s is proud to announce the High School Prefect Body for 2025 / 2026 – a remarkable group of young leaders chosen to serve, inspire, and uphold the values that define our school. The announcement ceremony was a moment filled with pride, reflection, and joy as each portfolio was revealed and symbols of leadership were handed over, representing faith, unity, and the spirit of service that continue to shape St Martin’s School.

At the heart of this new leadership team is Tshepang-Tumelo, the Head of School, who received the School Flag as a sign of trust and continuity. The flag represents the unity and identity of St Martin’s a community rooted in tradition, yet forward-looking in purpose. It serves as a reminder to lead with courage, humility, and pride in all that we do. Alongside her, Thari, the Deputy Head Girl and Head of Chapel, accepted the Crucifix, a symbol of faith, compassion, and service. The handover reminded us that true leadership begins in serving others, following the example of Christ with humility and love.

The Spirit Stick was handed over to Mickeyas, the Deputy Head Boy and Head of School Spirit & Traditions, representing the heartbeat of our school – the laughter, loyalty, and enthusiasm that brings us together. It serves as a reminder that leadership is also about joy, encouragement, and creating a strong sense of belonging. Together, our senior leaders will carry forward the values of St Martin’s with strength, faith, and dedication.

We also congratulate Moroesi and Tumelo, our Heads of Arts and Culture, who bring creativity, talent, and expression to the forefront of school life, ensuring that the arts continue to flourish as a vital part of the St Martin’s holistic experience. Leading the sport, Tshenolo and Mbofholowo, the Heads of Sports, will inspire excellence both on and off the field – fostering teamwork, discipline, and school pride. Their passion and energy remind us that sport is not only about competition, but also about unity and perseverance.

Completing the leadership team are Michael, Head of Student Affairs, who will ensure every student’s voice is heard and valued; Ruhan, Head of Student Well-Being, will lead this portfolio with compassion, promoting kindness and emotional balance; Amariah, Head of Community Engagement, will strengthen ties with the wider community through outreach and service; and Aya, Head of Marketing, who will share the stories, achievements, and vibrant spirit of St Martin’s with creativity and pride.

Each prefect embodies the essence of St Martin’s – faith, leadership, and service. Together, they form a team ready to guide, inspire, and make a lasting difference in the year ahead. We congratulate our 2025 / 2026 High School Prefect Body and look forward to the journey of growth, unity, and purpose that lies ahead. Mr Venter, and Mrs Easton, Heads of School
