Daniël’s chess journey began at just 20 months old – and since then, he has gone from strength to strength. He has been competing in local, regional, and provincial tournaments since Grade R, consistently demonstrating perseverance, focus, and a true passion for the game.
The SAJCCC is South Africa’s national junior closed chess championship and is regarded as one of the most prestigious events on the junior chess calendar. It brings together the country’s top young players – making Daniël’s selection a truly remarkable accomplishment!
